This was a special marriage between Omer Chainé and Dame Leah Jane Mastine as the Right Reverend Louis Victor Thibaudier Vicar General gave them a special dispensation to marry, removing all impediments to their marriage. Omer Chainé was a catholic and Dame Leah Jane Mastine was a protestant.
Later on that same year, at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral in Trois-Rivière Dame Leah Jane Mastine was baptised on the 5th of Dec and was accepted into the Catholic faith.4,5,6 He died on 16 August 1963 in Enfield, CT, USA, at the age of 83.7
