However after searching the Ancestry.ca death record at this link: https://www.ancestry.ca/interactive/1091/d13p_2529a0001?backurl=http%3a%2f%2fsearch.ancestry.ca%2fsearch%2fdb.aspx%3fdbid%3d1091%26path%3d&ssrc=&backlabel=ReturnBrowsing#?imageId=d13p_2529a0019 I find it only listed a name of Joseph Chénay. It mentioned his wife also was an Antoinette Gélinas. No marriage between an Antoinette Gélinas & a Chaine, Chainey, Chainay, Chene, Cheney or any of similar Chesnay variations can be found. Joseph Chénay (ID No. 1195) was the husband of Marie Antoinette Toussignant (ID No. 1196) and NOT Antoinette Gélinas. Believe this was an error by the priest. The family name of Gélinas was quite common in this area at the time and it is quite possible he wrote Gélinas instead of Toussignant.
